Mountain house deal?

http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/c...a=421017&pn=14

How's this for a deal? I live by these guys so I can save on shipping to boot.

So it looks like the price is per can ... is that right? So if there are 6 cans in a case ... the cheapest price is $120 per case? Safecastle deals often figure out to be $100 per case when they have a sale.

That's not a bad deal for MH single cans, particularly if you can pick them up at Sportsmans Guide and not pay for shipping. You might check to see how fresh their food is.

As Waylon points out, our case prices for our members (20% off all list prices), with free shipping are tough to beat.

JC, you're local too. What do you know? I'll be checking out your site. I had seen your safehouses/rooms before but did not realize you were so diverse. Can local people pick up or do you stick to the web store and shipping? Do you have a storefront?

Hi Codger. We're online only--keeps overhead low.

We have the food dropshipped from the manufacturers (always free to the lower 48 for our customers) so it is as fresh as can be (and of course that too eliminates extra shipping and warehousing costs).

We do stock a few things here, and what we do, you are welcome to pick up if that suits you.

MRE Depot runs free shipping on orders over $500.00 every once in a blue moon. Subscribe to their email list and keep your eyes open for these specials. They carry the Honeyville freeze dried fruits, veggies, egg powder, and milk replacement powder as well a a bunch of other stuff.

ETA: If a mod from here contacts Steve Cyros at MRE Depot, you can probably get him to give a 15% discount code for members of GIM. I'm also a member of a small libertarian discussion board called Freesteader, and we get a 15% discount at MRE Depot.
